mission science workshop

Mission Science Workshop operates two bilingual community science centers that provide hands-on science enrichment activities to underserved youth from low-income communities in San Francisco. Executive Director Dan Sudran founded Mission Science in 1991 with the simple goal of inspiring kids to love science. Today, Mission Science partners with over 40 public schools and dozens of community based organizations to bring bilingual, hands-on learning to 15,000 students each year. Mission Science’s beloved in-school and after-school workshops nurture students’ science skills and inspire curiosity and appreciation for the natural world.

The Hellman Foundation shares Mission Science's belief that all kids deserve access to fun and enriching science programs and we are proud to support this long-time community partner of San Francisco's public schools.
